Sinus problems – Do I have a infection that needs antibiotics

As we head into the fall and winter months and stay inside more, exposure to infections becomes more prominent and people start developing nasal and sinus problems

It’s not easy to decide if one has a viral infection which needs to run it’s course or antibiotics are needed.  Viruses can get worse for 3 to 5 days and typically start to resolve.  Over the counter meds are helpful to manage symptoms.

If your sinus symptoms are severe with fever and pain, it could be a bacterial infection that warrant treatment.  Or if symptoms persist more than 5 days and get progressively worse one should consider their physician.

We are always accessible to answer your questions in regard to management, and if treatment is needed we are happy to schedule you an appointment to help you decide on the best treatment options.

Thanks for placing your trust in us to handle your medical problems.  We are always here to help.
